VenueReady is an app that helps small venues in the UK organise and record how they prepare for a terrorist attack or other emergency. It is made by Dominion TechOps Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, number 17266496, whose registered office is at Hockeys Farm, South Gorley, Fordingbridge, England, SP6 2PW.
Who is responsible for your information
- If you run a venue and set up VenueReady, we are responsible for your account details.
- If your venue added you to VenueReady (for example as a member of staff), your venue decides what it uses VenueReady for. We look after the information on the venue's behalf.
What we collect
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name | So your manager knows who you are, on the staff list, alerts and records |
| Your mobile number or email address | To sign you in with a code. Staff numbers are also used to send alert texts, if the venue turns them on |
| Your venue's details: address, exits, safe rooms, assembly points, procedures and any map photos | To make the procedure cards your team reads |
| Briefing and drill records, including who attended | So the venue has a record of what it has done |
| Your answers to alerts (safe or need help) and to "How clear was this drill?" | So your manager can see who is safe and improve the next drill |
| A push notification token for your phone | To send alerts to your phone |
| Whether the venue has a plan, and its renewal date | To know which features the venue can use |
We do not collect your location, contacts or anything else on your phone. We do not show adverts, sell your information, or use it to track you across other apps or websites. Card and bank details are handled by Google Play or Stripe, and we never see them.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run VenueReady, each under a contract that protects your information:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in London
- Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivering push notifications
- Resend: sending sign-in emails
- Twilio: sending sign-in codes and alert texts by SMS
- RevenueCat, Google Play and Stripe: subscriptions and payments
- Expo (EAS Hosting): hosting the web version
Push notifications never contain your venue's procedures, maps or anyone's name.
How long we keep it
- Your account details are kept while you use VenueReady.
- If you leave a venue, your access ends at once. The venue keeps its records, such as who attended a briefing, because they are its record of what it did.
- If a venue closes its account, we delete its information within 90 days, apart from what we must keep by law (for example invoices).
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within one month. If your request is about a venue's records, we may pass it to the venue. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each venue can only see its own information, and staff can only see what they need, such as their own cards. Phone numbers are not visible to other users.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell venue owners in the app.
